I bought this thing last fall for $80 and then replaced... wheels, cassette, chains, r.derailleur, shifters, brake calipers & levers, tires, saddles, handlebars, grips, and all cables. Most parts came from an older Rockhopper. It is currently only a 9 speed. (no f.der) Great as a cruiser and occasional racer. More work to be done, but it's currently 42lbs after dropping about 10lbs with the upgrades.
