Hey Rebecca,
Is great to see a positive role model for us women out there. I applaud you for your effort and obvious skill. I'm a newbie at mountain biking and was curious what ride you might recommend for XC. And which bike do you ride?

Hey Reba - Sweet ride last weekend in TN. Early season and you're already rockin. I wonder if this solid result can be tied back to the incredible training plan your coach prepared for you? I know, I'm a self-serving mug, ain't I? Anyway, I thought it might be a cool idea for you and I to get a little public dialogue going around training, racing and prepping for ultra events. What do you think? We could call it something like "Don't be in such a Rusch!" - Matthew

Hey MJ-
sorry for the super long delay in writing back. I"m still getting used to this posting thing! I love this site though, there is so much on here that I need to take advantage of. Anyway, I do all my endurance mtb and adventure racing this season on a Women's Epic Marathon. I rode a carbon Epic last year and loved that bike, but this is the first season I've switched to the women's specific mountain bikes and I definitely notice a fit difference. You can't go wrong with the Epic for a great all- around bike. FYI, I just got a sneak peak at all the 2008 bikes and I'm super psyched on what's goign on for next season!

Hey Matthew AKA Reba's Endurance Coach,
well the season is well under way and after nearly 8 months of specific training programs from you, I'm now in full swing this season. All the trainer time inside this winter and cycling specific pedal drills are paying off. I've been having a killer season of mtb and adventure racing and I have to say I'm loving riding my bikes more than ever before. thanks for all the great help.
