Why I Love the Ruby

This past Saturday was the first day I took my brand spankin' new Specialized S-Works Ruby Module out on the road. This BA bike is tricked out with all DuraAce components, including DuraAce 7810 series road pedals and DuraAce wheels. It sports Specialized tires, the Jett saddle, and some killer Ruby SL Advanced Composite Road handlebars. That being said...going from a Specialized Allez Elite beginner road bike...this pedaling machine is awesome!
Now, no harsh feelings again the old Specialized, it was a great bike and got me to where I am today, so for that, there remains a little place in my heart for it. However, jumping on the Ruby, which is at least 6lbs lighter than the Allez and handles like a gem, was a true treat. That bike is smokin' hot!
