Lauren Franges (Asheville, N.C.), Katharine Carroll (Sausalito, Calif.), Alison Powers (Boulder, Colo.), Chrissy Ruiter (Bend, Ore.) and Carmen McNellis (Durango, Colo.) will each ride for the USA Cycling Women's National Team as the first of 11 women's World Cup races gears up in Geelong, Australia. The race will feature many of the world's top female cyclists contesting eight laps on a tough 15-kilometer circuit for a total race distance of 120 kilometers. Points toward the overall World Cup series will be awarded to the first 20 riders.
