Off the Grid

I was caught. Its easy to be caught here. I was simply waiting for my dinner and happened to look once again at my phone knowing there was nothing but a 'no service' message when I heard, "you sure look at that thing a lot." Nothing like a snazzy cell phone in a cell phone void to make you look like an outsider. *sigh* There I was trying to play cool...but in a town of 150 (including absent second home owners) where everyone knows everyone's business, you know you're an outsider!
I have come to find that there is little in the way of reception, cell phone or otherwise, in Bear Valley CA. Who knew places like this still existed, and who would have guessed it would be in California?
I love it. But I am freaking out a little. I have this work phone that talks to my computer and communicates my world to me, and I can't access it. What if it needs me? So in an act of desperation, I am reaching out...SPECIALIZED: I can only communicate via Rider's Club, please forward all mail to my 'comment' section. Thank you.

Not to worry, you will find many places in this great land of ours where we are free from the bounds of all things cellular.
