Cynergy Cycles

Los Angeles and Southern California in general is known for having some of the best shops on the planet! So when it came time for me to buy my first roadie...I asked around. I was recommended here and there, "This place is the best! I'll never go anywhere else," I heard...but after visiting these ancient LA facilities (one of them tried to convince me that a Trek 1200 was THE bike that Lance rode to win the Tour, all 7 times! I knew a bit better than that)...after visiting these facilities, I literally stumbled upon a shop on Santa Monica Blvd., in Santa Monica, California. Cynergy Cycles.
Little did I know Cynergy was named the best new shop in 2006! It is a mecca for cycling: mountain, road, recreational, track, you name it they got it. Not to mention they are THE place to get completely outfitted head to toe, frameset to gruppo, wheelset to bar tape for Specialized Bicycles and Components.
They've given me expert opinions for my budget and abilities. They've also helped me grow as a cyclist. They recommended the Riders Club, local club rides, races to show up and enjoy to get a feel for the road culture.
Jim, Doug, Augusto, John, Steve and the rest of the guys there have welcomed and enabled my newfound addiction...they've never strayed from teaching me what I don't know, although they give me a hard time about how I pronounce the word Roubaix (by the way it's Roo-Bay, I say Row-Bye...I try, okay), they are eager to teach me to be a better cyclist and a better self mechanic!
If you're in the LA area, or even if you're not and just happen to be a bicycle enthuisiast...Cynergy Cycles will blow your mind!
I bought my stock Allez there five months ago, and will be building my Tarmac there in the upcoming months!!! And maybe even an off-roadie for some singletrack fun? (I'm geeking over it)
Stop in, get fitted, check out their sweet Cynergy kits and their array of S-Works machines on the walls...or just stop by to see what a REAL bike shop is supposed to look like. You'll never want to leave-and ask the guys there, I never really did.
