it was only kind of a meeting. We definitely got some non work in. But let's face it, we were on tiko time so we needed the extra time to accomplish our goals.
Most days were very relaxed. on others though, we were forced marched to civilization and brow beat with our catalogue (that things big you know) until we succumed to some devilish scheme planned out by our boss and fearless leader. Oh, he was cruel. In fact, we had an attrition rate of about one person a day. first we had to mountain bike through the jungle braving the beasties. first casualty comin' up...a bad digger through a rough section meant we had to box up one of our own and ship him back. Next was a canopy tour. Pretty fun with alot of zooming thru the trees. we survived that alright but when we were hiking back out, we experienced a scene similar to Kenny's demise in South Park, when a group of huge Iguanas hauled off the last in line. This made a couple of guys reconsider and they flew home with the remains...7 left.
I missed the next adventure when a few of the others went off shore to hunt our next dinner. The tuna and the mahi were...um...very fresh. Some guys told us to go find this festival in a small little town called Pinilla. When we found it, there were tons of people lots of food, outdoor kareoke and a rustic rodeo in progress. We didn't find out until later that anybody could crawl under the "sticks" holding the bulls in and do what ever. Really, you could buff his horn if you wanted, well, and he let you. the rest of the time was spent on death defying dirt roads between beautiful beaches. We did have a couple of harowing experiences with snaks though.
This one dark night, there was a heavy rain storm. Monsoon style. When everyone dashed to the car, nobody noticed that a copperhead type snake had wrapped itself around the passenger mirror to get out of the river forming in the street. We did eventually notice it. The next morning. Seems not to have liked the dirt roads either.
