Tour of California - Wednesday Ride with the Champions!

Thanks to our friends at Concept Cyclery we've got a great ride lined up for Wednesday the 20th. With the Tour of California coming so close to our home base we want to get as many people as possible out to ride!
So we've linked up with Concept Cyclery and brought in some big guns to help with the ride! Peter Reid and Rebecca Rusch will join us for a full day of riding and cheering on our heros on the summit of Sierra Road!!
9:00AM - Meet at Concept Cyclery - 1295 East Dunne Avenue
Ride to Sierra Road Climb! Hit the base by 12:00noon and ride up.
If you'd like to join us up top - no problem! Look for the Specialized and Specialized Riders Club tents at the top - we'll have water, food and a great spot to put up your feet and watch the race drive by!

I'm with Wiley, it was 6F (whoopie, the high was above 0F today) today when I was out for lunch and a nice long outdoor ride sure sounds like a welcome elixer for winter. Another 5 weeks and we'll be out on the roads.
Anyway, have fun. I'll be California dreamin' on the spinning bike all next week watching the '08 TOC on DVD.

Come on Porkchop!! 6F doesn't sound that bad... The race weather is looking good for next week and we should have a good turn out of Riders Club members getting ready to ride during the week!!!

Our plan is to hit the base of Sierra Road at about 10:45 to 11am. That gives us lots of time to climb to the top!

I'd love to meet all the Rider's Club crew at the Solvang Time Trial. Dr. J's Bike Shop is right by the start area on the main drag. I'll be hanging with Corey and Dave (owner and mgr) watching the event.
