Innovate or Die Ride to Interbike - Day 1 Start

veröffentlicht von: id* at 09:45 on September 19, 2007

The Team is ready to go

For well over a decade, the battle cry at Specialized has been ‘Innovate or Die!’ Our strong desire to create novel solutions to some of cycling’s most persistent problems has led to the development of some of our most successful products, including our new S-Works 2D helmet, medically proven Body Geometry saddles, Brain suspension technology and category creating family of Roubaix bikes.

With our environment coming under greater and greater pressure, including climate change caused by energy consumption, we’ve made it a top priority at Specialized to attack climate change with the same ‘Innovate or Die’ spirit that has guided us to success in the past.

This week we will unveil an innovative program to attack the problem of global climate change with pedal-powered solutions. We have been working with some very recognizable partners in the hunt for a real way to power our globe with human energy and cut carbon emissions in the process.  Take a look at http://www.innovate-or-die.com/ for full details of this important initiative.

As another fun and adventurous way to cut our company’s carbon footprint, Mike Sinyard and a number of employees, have decided to ride the roughly 600-miles from our Morgan Hill headquarters to the Interbike show in Las Vegas. While we know that one long ride won’t reverse global climate change, we do believe that it will make a strong statement about our search for innovative pedal-powered ways that can help minimize our impact.

The Innovate or Die express to Interbike will be leaving our headquarters in Morgan Hill on Friday, September 21st at 8AM.  We will be posting daily updates from the ride and will have some special guests joining us along the way.

Stay tuned to http://www.specializedriders.com/post and follow our Innovate-or-Die ride to Vegas!
