Specialized goes Passionately Pink for the Cure!

Specialized Designs for Women goes Passionately Pink for the Cure to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Specialized is getting involved to help fight for the cure. Specialized will be working on a series of events to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. These fundraising events will range from group rides to ladies nights to dress-up competitions throughout the United States during the month of October. In addition, Specialized will be unveiling a Limited Edition Helmet in March to raise money for breast cancer research and awareness.
Limited Edition Propero Komen Helmet: For 2008, Specialized will unveil a limited edition Komen Propero Helmet. 10% of the sale of the Komen Propero will go to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the effort to increase awareness and research for breast cancer.
Passionately Pink for the Cure: Internally during October the employees of Specialized will be involved in a unique initiative called “Passionately Pink for the Cure” also helping to raise money for the Komen Foundation. “Passionately Pink for the Cure(TM)” begins on the first of October and is a fun and simple awareness and fundraising program created by the Komen Foundation. It allows people to show their support through their own personal way and give at the same time. Specialized will be hosting a pink party, going on a pink group ride and showing their support by dressing in pink on October 19th all with the goal of raising awareness and money for the Komen foundation. Passionately Pink Demo Events: In addition, Specialized Designs for Women Demo Coordinators will be hosting Pink Rides and Events throughout the United States during the month of October. All of the rides and events will have a recommended $5 donation with all the proceeds benefitting Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

10/09 Passionately Pink Ride at Indian Cycles in Ridgeland, MS
10/13 Passionately Pink Ride at The Cycle Loft in Burlington, MA
10/20 Passionately Pink Ride at Concept Cyclery in Morgan Hill, CA
10/21 Passionately Pink Ride at NM Bike and Sport in Santa Fe, NM
