Sea Otter Classic April 15-18 2010

The Sea Otter Classic is a four-day, action-packed cycling and outdoor sports festival featuring a full schedule of amateur and pro cycling events, as well as family activities for all ages.
Athletes make the annual pilgrimage to the Monterey Peninsula to participate in cycling's best competitive and non-competitive events in various Mountain Bike and Road Bike disciplines. Sea Otter has added two new elements for 2010: a Gran Fondo and collegiate cycling categories.
Returning this year will be the Road Race, Circuit Race, and Criterium for the road cyclists. There's also a full gamut of mountain bike events including the non-competitive Mountain Bike Tour. For the compeitive set, Downhill, Super D, Dual Slalom, Cross Country and Short Track are all just a pedal away from the world's largest consumer trade shows. Hundreds of professional road and mountain bike athletes come to Sea Otter to race, sign autographs, and share their racing techniques with the fans.
Then there's the famous Sea Otter Classic Expo area; hundreds of vendors displaying new products, giving out free samples, and offer terrific bargains. Finally, the Sea Otter Village, hub of the event, which pulses with the activity of free bike demos, stunt shows, kids' playhouses, an international food court, beer and BBQ garden, and live entertainment.
